Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport - "Rainbow's End"
Thursday, February 11th 2016: Dedication of the Terrazzo Floor Artwork Rainbow's End and Video Screening at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
The 79,500 square foot terrazzo floor design, Rainbow's End, is a public artwork inspired by the vastness, beauty, and complexity of the environments of South Florida. The uniqueness of this ecotone is defined by the flow of water, from the Everglades on the west to the Atlantic Ocean on the east. Overlaying this diversity is the journey of people, navigating the Airport landscape just as they have navigated these environments, locating themselves in a larger human journey across space and time.
